  • Along with 5372 in early June 1998 was part of a staged level crossing accident in Regina SK.
    Pulling a short train at 25 miles per hour, they slammed into a van configured as a school bus.
    One of the locomotives sustained a bent handrail. The van was considerably worse off.
  • Destroyed in an accident 30 December 1999 while trailing SD75 5753 eastbound near Mont St-Hilaire, QC
    The train struck derailed westbound tank train pulled by 5794 and 2581 on parallel track and burned
